Ever wanted a bunch of info all in one document about the how-to’s of things some trans* people might want to know about New York State processes and procedures like:
- changing your gender marker at the DMV
- name change (DMV and Social Security)
- registering for selective service changing your passport or birth certificate
Yeah? Us too. So we tapped into the vast and immeasurable resource that is the Ithaca College LGBT Center (thanks Maurer) and created this resource guide because man, we get so many calls and emails about these things.
And really, we are just so damn proud that our Little Ol’ Planned Parenthood in Ithaca gets It— the big It— that everyone of any gender identity, presentation, permutation or lived experience deserves the utmost respect and a welcoming, affirming place to access exceptional health care.
Together with Out for Health, our LGBT health and wellness program, we work to better serve and provide resources to our transgender community.
